This paper towel stand measures (approx.) 8.25" x 8.25" and is 1 1/8 inch thick. It stands ~ 13" tall and fits most regular or large size paper towel rolls with a tube diameter of 1 1/2" or more. The base of this stand was cut from a stunningly beautiful slab of Claro Walnut. Claro is another name for the Hindis Walnut that grows from California to Washington along the western coast of the United States. Figured Claro Walnut wood often contains swirls, stripes and/or curling patterns; creating a stunning, one-of-a-kind appearance. The wood is prized by artisans and is one of the most sought after and expensive domestic woods. The center pole is made of Black Walnut and has been waxed to a satin finish.

Black Walnut is a medium to hard density wood and makes wonderful butchers blocks or cutting boards. Figured types of Walnut wood may also contain swirls, crotches, burls or curling patterns; creating a stunning, one-of-a-kind appearance Each of our boards is one of a kind. This specific board has a swirled pattern down the middle with branching at the sides. it has stripes throughout, a nice figure on the larger side and is light gold on the edges and darker in the middle.
